Default silverado 4L60e different from regular cab to ext cab

what is the differance between a silverado regular cab 4l60e and an extended cab 4l60e in the 2001-2005 range?

if you look them up on any used sites they have you select reg cab or ext cab and it gives a different interchange number?

The only thing that would make any sense to me is if they calibrated the separator plate a little different. As long as they are either both 4x4 or 2wd for your application you should be fine. Just make sure you specify if you need a 4x4 or 2wd. Vince
