Question Is it Tough to Install a shift Kit?

How tough is it to install a shift kit on a 98 4L60e.

The only transmission experience I have is putting a
TH350 in my truck and putting the TQ Converter in the 98 Z28.

Does the whole Tranny have to come out to install a shift Kit?

Trans Go is harder. The TCI is simple. If you have no tranny exp. Get the TCI or have someone do a trans go.

i guess it was worth paying the $150 to have the transgo/cooler installed then. 10 hrs? You sure you didn't mean 1 hr? Shop rate was $75/hr so that meant 2 hrs for the transgo which has more parts and the trans cooler and mounting.

i thought that was fair since its a muss of parts

I did my Trans go myself and it was by no means an easy project. I had never did anything with an a4 before it would have took me about 3 hours to put the kit in but i messed up and it took 5 instead. I watched the video like 10 times, if your patient it can be done just take your time. I the Transo Go was worth the trouble I love the way it shifts.
