tranny is being weird
tranny is being weird so i have maybe 1k miles on my rebuilt 4l60e, its still under warrenty, when im on the highway, i will be crusing about 65 mph which keeps me at about 1.5k rpms, then out of now where it will kick up to 2-4k rpms, it only stops doing that when i press the brake in a little bit, my tranny guy says its my lock up valve sticking randomly? and of course when hes in the car it doesnt mess up but the second he gets out it does...... and help would be greatly appreciated, he put something in the tranny to help it not stick but i havent noticed a difference

Tell your trans guy to take a look at the brake switch. You might be having issues the TCC coming off because of a faulty switch. Depending on the stall speed of the converter what you are seeing might be normal at 2k. But at 4k I would think that the trans is going to 3rd gear. That would sound more like a slipping band because an issue with the 4th servo or accumulator. Vince
i was kinda thinking that but its more like it kicks into neutral then a diffrent gear, but thanks all have him take a look when this snow goes away 
had a little time to drive it today, and right before it slips or whatever you want to call it, it sounds like its not in OD making the sound like when you slow down when you manualy put it in 1st 2nd or 3rd and you have to press the brake or smash the gas to get it to go

is just had my 4l65e rebuilt and im having the same problem. they took the valve body of look look for a sticky valve. i found myself doing 70mph at 3200 rpm. i put the shifter into 3rd and the rpms didnt budge, they stayed at 3200. i have a 2400 stall.
i have a stock stall and have no idea lol , but it feels like its kicking out of OD but not quite getting back into 4th, i maybe be completly wrong but thats what it feels like to me

hmm I'm having the same issue right now. I had this happen about 6-8 months ago and the OD ended up going out on the tranny. Now that my new tranny has 8k on it, it's happening again, not wanting to go into overdrive all the time, even at cruise. wish I could help, but I still have no idea.
