So after my car sitting for about 3 days. I jumped in to take a drive and about 4 blocks down the road the tranny just lost all gears. Now when I turn it off,and start it again it'll run and drive for like 2 block then no gears again! I've had no problems til now the trans is a proforma built stage2,and fuddle 3500 stall someone said the front pump is out any ideas

 

Did you check the fluid level...?

 

If ur fluid level is good u need to check pressure to see whats up.

 

my car did the same thing after the cam install i did. i jst replaced the shift solenoids and it works fine

 

fluid level is good, how do you check pressure?

solenoids will be next.

 

Ok changing the filter,fluid,and shift selenoids tonight any other suggestions? How hard is it to change the front pump

 

Trans is removed from vehicle, valve body is removed from trans, pump comes out from front after bell housing.

 

If it's really that easy I'm doing that to.

So if I just change the fluid/filter should I also pull the valve body and clean it to?

 

hmmmmm does this ussualy happends to does performabuilt Trans? i was about to order one, but decideit to read here first not happy...

 

Ok well I change fluid,filter,and solenoids but now here is the problem. The car drives but feels like only 1,2 and overdrive is working and if I manual shift it the trans make a thump like its dropping in to that gear.

Any thoughts about this?
