okay... mods are in sig, 59,000 miles on her

when I am in 4th (A4) cruising and punch it to go WOT, it occasionally bogs down so bad that it seems like i have a governor on it. I am not redlining out nor am I going extremely fast.. has happened anywhere between 50-80mph....

any suggestions?

I used to have an automatic SS a year ago and it did the same thing, I think you are just talking about it not dropping down a gear, theres a fine line that just really sucks. Several times i would be on the highway and wanna drop down and pass someone, but i was going to fast to drop down to 3rd so it would stay in 4th and just lag really bad until it slowly climbed up in speed. if thats the case, I wouldnt worry about anything, all automatics do this.

My car was giving me a problem like that so I changed the plugs and wires and it ran llike a new car. Have you changed those yet. They don't last 100,000 like they say they should.

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter. If it is old it will hurt your performance at higher rpm's. I would change that, maybe plugs and wires.

Just for grins, have you tried manually pulling it down into 3rd and romping it? I mean, if you haven't determined that it's just not kicking down a gear when you go WOT. At those speeds, it should definitely kick back to 3rd, at least.
If that doesn't work, could be a fuel problem (one tank of really crappy gas will wreak havoc on a filter). Could be of some help to check for codes in the computer. If you eliminate the filter and trans kickdown I would get the fuel pressure checked, and if it's not in the high 50's you have a starting point.

Something else that could be a problem. Is your computer stock? With a stock LS-1 computer, when you put the peddle down for wide open throttle, you're not really getting it. GM has a 15-20 second lag programmed into the computer before you truly get wide open throttle. This also could be why the trans isn't kicking down.

my computer is stock

no SES codes thrown either....
as for fuel... i only use Exxon or Shell Premium gasoline so do not think it is a bad tank of gas...

anyone have any random ideas out there?

also, thanks to those that have replied....

My car does the same type of thing at WOT, I kinda think it's TM?? I'm not quite shure if I have enough power for TM to kick in?? It's only done this like 3 times in 10,000 mi so it's pretty random
