11's on a budget, how to make my stock trans last?
So I have a little debate going with a few GTP owners that I can make my car perform better than theirs for less money. Their goals are 11.99's or better with $2000. My goal is fairly simple, go FASTER for less money. I currently have $675 into my setup with L/T's, ORY, Spiralflow, complete wet NOS plate kit with purge, Ls6 intake and a lid. With the budget in mind, how can I set up my trans to make it last at least for this season? I will only be spraying at the track to make the ET and then the kit will likely come off the car. I'm planning (IE: budgeting) a new/built 4L60E, but I'd like to seal this bet first.
I am purchasing a 3200 stall from a friend of mine, and the car will be wearing full slicks at the track. What should I do with the Nitrous to keep the trans alive a while? I will only be pushing about a 100 shot Digital window and keep it from spraying through the shifts? Is there a shift kit or trans tune that will keep it from grenading? I hear a trans cooler is a must, recommendations for size?
I'm a complete auto noob, all my previous performance suited vehicles have been manuals. I'm open for advice either way!

I ran 11.0-11.10's for three years on a stock 4l60 using the following technique. Ran 150hp through a Nitrous outlet plate
1. my window switch was set to cut nitrous at 5800 rpm, trans shifted at 6100
2. leave tranny in drive
3. good, large tranny cooler
I would also recommend non-adjustable lower control arms to eliminate threat of wheel hop. they are cheap

Good luck.. I had a 3600 stall and trans cooler put in along with a cam and first run on the street the trans went.. I had never had any previous problems with the trans either, so I was pretty pissed.
^ yup. Op is also asking "how to make my stock trans last"
Spraying through shifts and at same time deleting all TM and raising line pressure is more like the answer to....how to make my stock trans blow up in as little time as possible!
