Default When Should the Stall Unlock?

I can be running along at 65 on the highway, and it will just unlock, but eventually it will lock back up, is this normal?

no. probably random misfires or knock. You have to really push the pedal down to unlock at that speed in OD, enough to downshift.

got logs?

Your cam is causing the PCM to detect misfires. You need to set all the low and mid misfire table values to 32000 with edit. I drove my car over a year with it doing the same thing. (TR 220 cam) Finally got the edit done on the tables and lockup is rock solid now.

what he said, you might wanna lower your lockup speeds too. I have mine at about 1000rpm's for 3/4 to save on city gas mpg. Might take some extra tuning to avoid surging.

Thanks guys for all the feedback. I don't have edit or anything else, and no local shops do either. I guess I will have to wait it out to this summer when I intend to add some more upgrades and get another tune. Will this hurt anything besides gas mileage in the mean time?

Yep, had the same issues here after my cam and did the same thing to fix it, with the same successful results

Looks like I need it reprogrammed then, thanks. Will it hurt anything in the mean time, like the tranny?

Until my vehicle was dyno tuned after the TC install, it kept locking and unlocking at various speeds.

My understanding is that a performance converter should only unlock at freeway speeds when you tap on the brake.
