Used tci super streetfighter help
Ok so I found a pretty good deal on a tci converter and I was wondering one I buy tci a good and realible converter and two is buying a used one a good idea guy says he only has two passes on it looks very clean please help

That's wht Iv been reading and iv also been reading Tht tci converters arnt to good is this true I was gonna get it for 250 wit a trans cooler

I would recommend having the converter freshened up before installing it. You can usually have them rebuilt for around $150-$200. That would be a much cheaper option than buying a new one.

Even a new TCI SF only lasted me a few thousand miles
(a sad story involving bad choices in ATF). The lockup clutch
is weak, and the SSF3500 is not super efficient until you get
pretty high in RPM (My SF3000 on the other hand was 97%
efficient, and by 5000). Nice hydraulics, crappy frictions.
It's not the passes that wear converters out (shy of Too Much
Motor). It's the daily grind (especially if you leave the stock
TCC slip learning to literally grind the clutch all the time).
