Default Will 1998 c2500 4l80e work with an ly6?

Yesterday I went to the junkyard and found a 1998 4l80e out of a work truck. I believe this 80e was behind a 6.5 turbo diesel? Correct me if i'm wrong. What issues will I run into as far as bolting the tranny to an ly6? I read somewhere that this was the less disired 4l80e is this true? Btw the engine/tranny will be going into a lexus sc400 so a custom tranny mount, driveshaft will be in line.

It'll bolt right up. If you buy a TCI 399754 flexplate it'll have the correct bolt pattern for the stock 4L80E converter, as well as the correct pilot extension for your engine.
