Anyone using the new th400 JW Ultra Bell ls1 bellhousing?
There is a new part that has the bolt pattern for a ls, instead of sbc, or bbc. Wondering if anyone on here is actually running it, and any problems with fitment, or any modifications needed?
I know about the mods needed to run the normal jw ultra bell in a fbody, hoping the ls specific one is better.

any reason to go with it over the one everyone else has used with a standard chevy bop to th400 unit aside from being able to use all the bolts?
also, anyone had any issued with cracking with the chevy bop ultra bell or the block from not being able to use all the bolt holes in the block?

I'm going to order mine this week also I can't believe their isn't more info around on these. Does anyone have any idea what to do about a lower flexplate dust shield or is no one really running one once they go to a 400

you can see the machined out area on the top to clear some years of LS blocks.
I've never seen anyone running a shield and I dont plan on using one. most th400 swapped cars dont street drive much if any. no reason anything would get up inside there.

i have the same bell you are asking about..been in my car for awhile now, i have a glide hooked to it instead of a 400 but it was a direct bolt in, didnt have to change anything, but you still use one less bellhousing bolt.been launching off the tb @4500 with no issues
