4l60 whining in neural/park but not in gear. hey again. my 93 z28 trans is acting up. when its in park or neutral it whines almost like a procharger and it you take it to 2k rpm the car starts shaking. but as soon as you put it in gear the sound is gone. these 700r4 are by far the worst tranmissions even made, my last z28 had one and it was nothing but problems.

how do you test a converter? id hate to pull it out and swap it and its not broke..... the ironic thing is i was at summit racing 3 days ago and they had a 2500rpm stall converter on the clearance rack for $80. i didnt get it because it wasnt a lock out converter. i bet its gone now.
