Default need clarity for TH400 behind LM7

I've been cruising through several threads for TH400 swaps, but I'm getting conflicting ideas of what exactly I need.

What I have:
TH400 with SFI bellhousing
early style (th350/th400) stall converter

What I need/want:
stock flexplate (for now)
flexplate adapter/spacer
longer flexplate bolts

What I'm having problems understanding:
Exactly what flexplates can i use with which spacers/adapters? Some places I've read that I need a 6.0L flexplate, also read somewhere I need an LS1 flexplate.
Which spacer/adapter should I run: Jegs 601010 or GMP 12563532

Also, what starter works with these flexplates?

Am I barking up the right tree, or am I in the wrong yard?
