Default rebuilt convertors?

can one trust a local shop no matter the size or skill with rebuilding a converter? a guy was offering me a rebuilt billet yank...

so, modified stock ish converters with enlarged fins

or rebuilt higher end say yank converter would be junk?

hmm...

I had a pump blow up.. i dont want to screw up my new converter

this is for an fc rx7 lq4... 380 400 whp.. wondering what stall is best? 26" tire 4.1 gears...

I was thinking 3500 rpm..

I don't think I have ever seen anyone ramble this badly. I have no idea what you just said in that post. It doesn't even make sense lol

I think we should sticky this post and title it "HOW NOT TO POST" or "NO POSTING WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS"

um. if its a name brand converter id send it back to them for a rebuild or repair. theres a few places here that build race converters but i still prefer a popular converter with a good rep.

i hope that helps.

Lots of converters are rebuilt. Most 9.5 inch converters non-billets use a cavalier 4 cyl core converter to start with. Lots of billet converters use a core backside to start with. Not that big of a deal if you have the knowledge and equipment.
