torque converter for my cam. Ok guys I'm finishin up my swap on my nova. Now my original plan was 2 use the stock converter. Now I've been reading a lot and thank you guys for the valuable information. Now my cam is a pat g cam 234/246. I'm also using stock 706 heads. My funds are very low and I kno most will recommend a 4k stall but like I said no funds. So my question is what's the cheapest stall I can go wit. I don't mind driving the car even if it doesn't have great street manners. Thanks

Your cam is a 234/246? Cheapest thing I would recommend is a restalled stocker from Yank or Circle D, or a 9.5 inch from PTC. 3000/3200 would be the minimum I would recommend.

Yeah that cam is going to need a good 3800-4000 stall. That car will be a turd with a stock type converter and probably wont even idle unless you have a fairly loose converter. I would give Chris at Circle D Specialties a call at 713-895-8834. He can fix you up and provide you with several options.
