Performabuilt transmission in a c5
Just wondering who has gone with them. I have heard very good things about them but I was just wondering who was using them and your thoughts. Thanks in advance

I have to say that when I was shopping for a tranny, I pm'd several people on this forum who had listed a PB as their trans.
After hearing their responses I decided to go with an FLT lv4, along with an SS3600 stall from yank.
Installed last may, and has been great so far.
Maybe 20-30 passes at the track and probably 4,000 miles as of now.
I would recomend them to anyone.

im surprised to hear the negative comments about PB transmissions. i run one, as well as a few of my friends and we are all happy customers. im running a heads/cam/intake/exhaust/nitrous 408 in an extended cab silverado. my past LS1 ran 11.5 at roughly 4800 race weight, and the 408 on a 250 shot should be ready for 10's if i can hook it. my tuner is running a cammed fully bolted 6.0 with nitrous in a crew cab silverado making 430+ N/A hitting 12.7 N/A and hasnt hit his 150 shot on the track yet. i would guess his race weight is north of 5k. another buddy is knocking of 10 second passes in a single cab silverado. all of us are running 4,000+ converters and much more weight than you guys. we can't seem to break them. what kind of line pressure are you guys running through it? we are all only on the LVL2 transmissions. there are several reputable tranny builders sponsoring this forum but the price and customer service of PB fit me best and im glad i went with them.

Love my 4l60e B level 3
Car specs as per signature. Running 250 shot with 650 rwhp. Have at least 50 1/4 mile runs with absolutely no issues. Even if I do have issues down the road, and it can happen at these levels of HP and normal wear and tear, PB guarantees to fix it for $900. The previous 4l60e tarnny I had built for $4,000 blew up and they did nothing for me.

Frank and performabuilt are legit one of rge best companies out there. I have used their transmissions in both my race cars for 5 years no issues. I have won several titles in my classes. Frank will help you anytime of day or night.

This post is so dumb I don't even know how to respond to it. There is no conspiracy theory here sir.

I dont have one in my c5 but so far so good in my fbody. I just hit the 2000 mile mark on it and changing the fluid as recommended. I am more than pleased thus far. After I drop the pan and swap new fluids, i will post more feedback.
