Default Help Funky Sound from TQ Converter

Hey guys

I have a funky sound in my tq converter. When I put the car up on thelift is sounded like there is a bolt or something flying around in the converter. Everything is working fine stalls up and all. I checked the fluid and it is perfect too.

Any ideas? anyone ever hear of anything like this?

I have a Vig 4000 multi disc converter

Or your POS late-model flexplate has cracked a web,
as others have.

I have already replaced mine once . I took down the starter and looked as much as I could at the flywheel . It looks intact unless it is cracked around where it bolts to the crankshaft. I couldnt get a good look at that.

I could ony hope it was the flywheel.

Pull the window cover on the bell houseing and look to see if you had a converter bolt to back out. I threw 2 of them one day on the dyno and it was a scarey sight lol. If it is then it will be easy to put back in since the tranny can be put into N and roll the converter until you have checked them all or replaced them. If it's not that then you might have cracked the flexplate.
