My trans builder told me to only run Dex III. IIRC Yank also recommends Dex III with their convertors..... I think the synth stuff works well with the newer trannys designed for it but would stay away with the old 60E

Keep in mind Dex IV is a synth.

I would skip the Mobil 1 (synthetic). Like said above, DexIII is the way I would go, brand really doesn't matter.

I've always used MOPAR ATF +4. Its what my friend ( trans builder ) recommends and used at the time of the rebuild back in 03.

I installed my Yank over 6 years ago with Mobil 1, still the original 18 yr old trans. Yank approves Dexron VI the replacement for Dex III and it's a full synthetic.

I used 9 qts dex 6 when I installed the ss3600. I tried to get dex 3 from gm but they said they switched over to dex 6. Yank says dex 6 is fine.
