Default 4l60e shifts out of drive once come to a stop

Just looking for some input my car shift out of drive when I come to a stop then if I shift it from first to drive gear it drives fine but if I mash the gas at like 20mph instead of stoping into first it's like it's in neutral any help would be appreciated I feel like it's the 1 2nd clutches but idk **** about trannys

What you've described sounds like a tranny that is not completely full of fluid. What is the fluid level and condition?

im going to pop the case off tonight and hopefully the filter just broke off i heard that can happen and give alot of problems but idk .... anything to look for when i take the pan off?

Do what Gilbert said, check the fluid level.
