Default Are the flexplate-convert bolts threadlocked?

Hey all,

Trying to separate my engine from the transmission. First off, I was a bit peeved to see that the flexplate/converter bolts are hex heads lol, as I just moved and had to finally purchase my own set of tools. I did have a hex head big enough, but can't really get much torque on these things.

Are these bolts threadlocked? Should I get a propane torch to heat them a bit? Any advice on budging these things. This is a 90k mile pullout from a WS6, going into a 68 Camaro.

I would assume they are. Heating them wouldn't hurt your situation.

If at first you dont succeed, get a bigger wrench!! I use loctite on mine, and have had the trans in and out a few times without issue.

If Heat or a Breaker bar dont work take a pointed Chisel and a big hammer and hit the coner of the Nut to break them loose it always works for me !
