Are you seriously running this at the track with a street tire? What a waste of time I've spent reading this garbage. There is nothing to figure out here...you will never ET without traction. Get some ET streets and run it at the track then tell us your results. This is like saying "I ran a 13.0 bone stock and added a cam and ran a 13.4! I think my cam sucks!" no...you're blowing the tires off and can't hook for crap.

I never said I was changing stalls. I'm asking y is it so loose on the street. But ok feel how u feel thanks for the people who really try to help and not talk **** on computers. FYI the this is not my fastest car 01 ssred is u can say it doesn't run I have a 643 HP viper FYI have can hook up and run anytime.

Well a lot of help you are...pat yourself on the back and make sure you don't waste anyones time by having to read your posts since you "think" you know what's wrong but won't even bother say what it is then knock anyone else trying to help figure out the problem. I was pointing out what that converter is capable of. Most guys with bolt on only cars cut mid 1.6 60' times with tha converter. What I posted was the short end of the spectrum. He said he cut 1.8 60's with an SS3600...I cut 1.83 60' with a Circle D 278mm in an AWD SSS with just bolt ons...I would be sick if I couldn't do better than that in an fbody with an SS3600. Ok say the converters are junk...two of them in the same car with poor results. Yeah it's the converter...
Ok buddy, from the looks of it, Jon was acknowledging you and your cousins car before you took it personal. He and another local have been fighting a tranny issue for a while on said locals car for a long time. Also he does most of the time
know what he's talking about. BTW jon's car ran 1.54 60's with a yank 4000 and 11.6 with bolt ons. I'd say he knows all about how well they will run when done right.

Comparisons are important when dealing with such similar drivetrains. But you've got your mind made up its the converter so go buy a new one and find out that your car still doesn't run worth a crap. I'm really not sure why you even started this thread. We are trying to help you.

I know the OP doesn't want to hear what "we" ran with a Yank 4000 he only wants to hear why its loose. Well here it goes; because you are going to a BIGGER converter than the one you previously had! I cut mid 1.50's on drag set up with the same converter but on 17's ZR1's with STREET TIRES I can barely knock out a 1.9 60ft.
