This is probly a dumb question but can someone explain what stall converters do for an auto?

Maybe he's asking what torque converters actually "do" or how they work.

Awesome links though-you could totally do a converter/tranny swap with those links...

If he clicked on the first link and scrolled down to the 4th question it would tell him what a stall does
