Default What Trans cooler and Pan?

I just got my 3600 stall for my 99 camaro and I am curious Do I need a deeper pan and a cooler or should I just get a cooler? I was looking at the derale pan because it already has a hole tapped for a trans temp gauge. Also If I do not need the pan, Where do you guys install the trans temp gauge? Do you drill and tap the pan or is there a secret spot I do not know about?
Also I see a lot of people running the b & m coolers and the cheaper hayden coolers. I am dont race very often and mainly dd my car. I just dont wanna overkill the hell out of this and waste valuable money to go towards my cam.
Thanks in advance for all the help guys!!

You dont NEED a pan, but it will help keep your trans cooler.

I would do a search on here, for the cooler question. There is a couple coolers from B&M that alot of people run, I just cant remember the number off hand. Im running a big tube and fin cooler on mine, but dont have a temp gauge yet.

I was also looking at the 70274 but does it come with everything to install it or would I have to buy the mounting kit (80278) also?

Comes with nothing but the cooler. The smaller 70264 is what I started with and it comes with a full install kit.

I checked out the B&M site, I don't even think they produce the 70274 anyone, its still available online other places but they discontinued it I think which sucks because it has the best btu rating. I assume its best to just get the big one and be done with it, as long as it fits. Are there any fitment issues for the 70274? I for one still have AC in my car.

B+M coolers are made by Long Co. in Canada. They are sold under many brand names. If it looks like a B+M, but its some other brand, it's prolly one of Long's coolers. So, same quality.
