i DD mine A LOT and have 323's and 28" radials im at about 2200 at 40 i have a 4400 stall i think im gonna get a 3600 soon

that's good to hear ^^^ I'm just waiting on selling my converter to get the new one i got the th350 for 100bucks. i couldn't turn that down. so im looking to see if any one trades me there th350 to ls1 converter for mine, but have had no luck with sale or trade dying to drive my T/A again...

just got my th400rmvb in. Got a 9" with 4.11's and gonna drive it a lot. Took it down the road with open headers and i was fine with it just the way it was. I think i am gonna like it.

i bought it used off of here. I haven't got to drive it much but it seems to be fairly street friendly. I am pretty sure it is their SSW version. From the little time that i have drove my car i think i am going to be satified.

Yea well I have 4:11 gears and on the highway it blows to drive it in 3rd. At 60 my rpms where at 3500 so I fill at 75-80 the noise wouldn't be a bother but the mpg goes from low to none would suck for a dd jmo

i feel u on that! ill be taking more city streets then lol. its only going to be my dd for a lil while, then it will be a weekend beach and track car that's bout it. i just didn't want to lose complete drive ability of the car. when i want to go for a lil cruise to the beach or hang out. i could just jump in and go. def don't want a trailer queen..

Yea very true, it can work though my sister has one in her 81 with a 2600 converter and I think like 3:50 something rear gears and she drives the hell out of it lol. It will be a fun car and will be good at the track when you need it to be. Good luck with the swap

thanks man. im getting the over haul kit today, if my converter comes in on Friday. ill be putting the trans up on the weekend.

i got the mid length tail witch measures the same *** the 4l60. so shouldn't have a problem that's with the th350 splines and length the same. the th400 i think dose need different yoke and length. ill be hooking it all up today so ill post up if i come across something. would have been driving it today but the lokar dipstick was too short so i have to do some modding there. hope to take it out today. only thing left is the x member drive shaft and dipstick that i might be routing to the inside of the car...

i don't know if i forgot to mention i got the trans for 100 it had billet planetary borg Warner clutches and shift kit but redid all over for fresh start...
