got everything up and running drive shaft should be about an inch longer but its working grate for me for now. shifts hard converter really tight feels like stock. stalls good very happy... very streetable gotta get used to manually shifting lol

well iv been driving for a couple days now. nothing crazy, really daily drivable. high ways are the down part but happy for the most part...

What did u do about the speedo. I put a 400 turbo in my trans am and i cant figure out about speedo. any suggestions

i got next to a couple people and asked how fast i was going in different rpms and that how i know how fast im going lol i been lazy about it. i seen a wright up about it here.

i think u have to run a wire from the tranny plug the speed O wire to the abs sensor in the front or something like that im sorry i couldn't help. i love wiring but have been lazy. i messed up the governor on the trans so it not shifting right and feels like its slipping so cant worry bout it right now lol

glad to hear you like the trans bro...i finally got mine and ill be doing the swap in a week or so, im a little worry about the converter though, (4400 stall) on a bolt on car....any ways how was the swap? and what is the deal with the speedo....it wont work after the swap?

4400 is high but ull love the launch on it. mine is 3600 but its a nitrous converter witch they run tighter then the all motor ones. i love mine it almost feels like stock. u should be good with a taller gear tho they told me that i should have at least a 3.73 im still stock gear in the rear. about the speedo on the top of this thread in the stickies there info on it. i just haven't done it yet. i usually drive with traffic anyways.

yeah mine is a nitrous converter as well, plus i got 4.10 gears so let see how that works....have you spay the car yet? i've been going to county line alot lately, i haven't seen you there. About the speed-o i read the sticky but i saw a VSS sensor you can buy to put on the trans that way you dont have to hack into the WSS, ill probably go that route.

i was there this Friday ran a best of a 7.7 no grip off the line and not responding well after 5k

u should be good. it'll suck on the high way big time..

about the vss do you know if its compatible with a th350 i don't think there the same if it is let me know were u found it so i can get one also

i think that the one you need for the th350 is one of these 2 im not sure which one, if im not mistaking the 700R4 has the same spline count as the 4l60e you had (27 spline), so the first one will work. Dont take my word for it, you'll have to double check with someone that knows better.

is little different and a bit more expensive than the th400 one....i think YANK use to carry this kits for a good price, i'll give them a call and find out, check out this website, they also sell all the th350 speed-o stuff for the VSS http://www.transmissioncenter.net/sp...n_______va.htm

let me know how ur car dose with the 4.10s im looking to change soon but dont know if to go 3.73 or 4.10 hard to deside now that im 3 speed

i think im gonna have to step down to 3.73 or 3.55, i think 4.10 is gonna be too much for a nitrous car, i have done some research on it and from what ive found 4.10+3 speed ill be hitting the rev limiter passing the tranps,...im gonna try it anyways, im running 28" tires, that might help....let you know how it goes.

i've daily driven with a th400 for years. i messed up my sprag but only after 3 years of hard abuse, 900+ mile road trips on the highway and daily driving in southern summer every day. thats with 325 mickeys on it year round and 3.70 gears.

ill be running 28's too in the near future but i think 3.73 would be good enough id like 4.10 cuz most of my running will be 1/8 mile but the high way driving is what im concerned about its bad enough now

i forget what the 325/50/15 mickeys are but thats what i run. highway with a 3600 non lock up stall it sat around 3500/3600rpm at 75ish if i remember correctly (i could be a lil off) only reason i think i cooked the trans is i didn't run a trans temp gauge i am sure i got it a lil too hot with all the abuse i gave it even on long road trips.

325/50/15 is a 28" tall tire, those are the tires I have on my car, what was your gear ratio?
