i bought one since i live in bham and had been considering the yank, but kept hearing about them over and over. i called and gave them my specs etc, went up there and talked with the owner, and he told me all about a close relative of his having a z28 that they used this converter on, and how many tenths it picked up etc........called back to find out i actually did get a 10'' race converter which surprised me considering the price. asked them how much to cut back in and jump to 3600 as well as prepare it for 800 at the wheels. i wont say the price, but lets just say you do not get service like this ever. they are obsessed with racing. people are proud to wear their shirts, and they are getting well known around the whole country.

Rene... Take that down.. They are not a sponsor. The entire thread will be locked. nothing more than ptc in Alabama needs to be posted. a simple Google search will bring them up.

I have a 10". I put 300 miles on it, then my front pump locked up and exploded. I shipped the converter back to them to have the snout repaired from where the pump ate a groove in it and bent the tooth slightly. They replaced the snout and cover. I spoke with Tim several times during ordeal. Great service to say the least. And a great price. I would recomend them to any one.
I do have two friends that use a PTC converter, one is in a Dart 440 car and the other is a nitrous powered small block. Both perform great. I haven't really got to test mine yet because of a crappy transmission build. But I'll bet it works great just like there customer service.

I've run 3 PTC converters and one yank. I have nothing negative to say about either. They were all for different applictaions. Yank is a great off the shelf converter and pretty well priced. I dont know of many "fast" cars running yanks but that doesnt mean there isnt or they cant make a converter. However if you needed something specific or are trying to get a custom converter to maximize you setup PTC would be the one I call.

I think Dettox or Deetox or how ever it is spelled ran a Yank in his f-body and Stangkila (or how ever you spell it) also used a Yank in a 2002 f-body with a nitrous powered LS3 that has gone mid-low 9's and plenty of YouTube documented street passes. Both are fast cars IMO.
But still I choose PTC just because of price and they have many years of experience. If you want a billet converter, PTC can build that as well. Call around and talk with people. See what they recomend. That's what I did. PTC was the only company that asked me what cube's, compression, cam duration, rear gear, tire hight , and how much nitrous. Hell, I don't even know what the "stall" is supposed to be. They built it and shipped it.
But then, that's how it's supposed to be.

Should see how this works out, sent my 10" race which stalled around 42-4400 when i was bolt ons in because with the new 150hp it stalled closer to 5200. Got a brand new 10" street cover converter with billet front, traded off most of the stall ratio to get more bite up top and a easier hit on the bottom. Should stall closer to 4000 again

Heres a couple videos of it with the old PTC in it

Looks like my converter. I have 700 miles on it now. Got the tune on it finished yesterday a quite a few WOT pulls. I have to say, it's a bad *** for sure. Runs hard from a dig to 6000 ( stock LQ4) foot breaks to 3300.

no ****, that had me worried for awhile I thought i was dumping oil or something, but it was full. I pinched the wire (a couple wires) while I was working on it and under load it would short. Fixed that while I had the trans out

Im personally on my 4th Pro yank converter been back and forth from 4l65 to the 4l80 for different builds, yank has a great converter but have always wondered about ptc, you do see them alot in the big outlaw classes, I would love to try a ptc converter in my gto just to help the heavy pig out off the line, would defiantly need a lock up converter.
