Transmission Troubles
OK well guys help me out here, The original transmission woudlnt shift and the RPMS would just rise with the gas pedal down and would hardly move but had power in reverse. So i bought a lvl 2 Transmission from performabuilt and guess what SAME THING no power at all in drive but plent of tire squeeling power in reverse so we put a new speed sensor in and try it out NOTHING. I know it cant be the same thing with 2 transmissions. Have any of yall expiernced this problem before?

All the solenoids receive continuous +12V in the trans and are activated by the PCM providing each solenoid's unique connection to ground.
Based on what you have said and that two transmissions are unlikely to have the same electrical problem, either your wire harness to the transmission has at least one wire shorted to ground or the PCM is defective.
I would check the wire harness first for any pinched or abraded areas. However my gut feeling is that your PCM is defective and will need to be replaced. I would go for a 2002 PCM which is the latest what will work with your car.
But I'm no trans expert, so wait for other opinions.

I just had the pcm tuned from frost, im sure if it was defective he would have found it. But ya after searching the code seems to happen when going to a higher stall or come on at a random time. I was really hoping to have my car up and running again lol

A good scanner, e.g. Hp Tuners or what your local trans shop has, can activate and test the shift solenoids. In a quiet area with engine off, you can hear the solenoids turn on and off. If this test is successful, then the PCM, wiring harness and shift solenoids are fine. Based on what you are saying, I think the test will fail and it will take more electrical checking to determine if its the wiring harness or the PCM.
I assume your trans is in limp mode (3rd gear) and you have a high stall converter; hence the RPMs rise without the car moving. It should move once you hit the stall rpm.

Those codes in most cases with a high stall converter should appear in your history if in fact this is your issue. In your case you got one of them. The computer does not know if the trans is stock or modified so to speak. It just knows that your factory parameters are not correct thus the code your getting. Get frost to delete the tests for the two codes I mentioned and you should be good to go. HTH Vince

I recall a recent thread where the author insisted he had checked all the fuses, but after a week of trying everything, found a blown fuse after all.
Use a volt meter to check that you have +12V on both sides of the fuse and/or just replace it anyway.

Well the car is still giving me the trouble it's still getting stuck in 3rd. I'm going to end up just taking it to the speed shop and have them look at it
