when will i lock-up?
when will i lock up with my vig3200? does lock-up go by rpm, or mph? when it locks up it drives normal (normal=acting like a stock converter). just as a scenario:
if im driving at like 55mph and hit the brakes will it unlock and then lock back up when i accelerate?

It should always lock up automatically, when you're cruising at part throttle. I think it's a combination of rpm and mph, most likely a result of the TPS sensor at a certain mph. I've heard of cars with 3.73s locking up at lower mphs. With 3.23s, mine always locks around 37 or 38mph in D, and around 30 in 3. It will stay locked until I tap the brakes, or hit the gas hard. When you lay off the brakes and are still going fast enough, it should lock right up again. I'm guessing you have a quiet exhaust...with a really loud exhaust, it's very obvious when it locks and unlocks. It will also never lock at WOT unless you have a manual lockup switch, or have it programmed to do that.
i heard LM, headers, and no cats. it was realllly loud, but not intimidating at all. it didnt have any kind of growl just noise coming from the rear end. im stikn with lm for now
any amount of misfires (not tuning after cam) will cause the verter to not lock up at all. but i see similar mph, about 1000rpm lockups in 3/4 with my 3.42's. doesn't really save much gas mpg being so low, but sure the hell is quieter.

Exactly. My car with 3.73's locks at about 40MPH with normal cruising.
