Default Clip on the shift cable?

So, I just finished my used engine swap to find that the car wont go into reverse or drive or anything. In my haynes manual it looks like there is a clip that adjusts the shift cable. And I am missing mine. I cant seem to find any online parts diagrams. Can anyone confirm this clip? Maybe have a part #?

Just used this link to adjust mine today. Im using my stock 4l60 cable on a 4l80. The gears were off on the shifter by alot and this quick adjustment fixed it.

All the clip does is retain the cable and prevents it from popping off while driving. It has nothing to do with adjustment.

There are two. The one you are talking about and a plastic one on the other side of the cable bracket you push it up and then the cable can be adjusted.
