4l60e stuck in 2nd after wot 1st?
I floored the car only in 1st to try the new drag radials out and after letting out shifted to 2nd. After that it would not down or upshift even with it manually downshifted to 1st. It would take off in 2nd and stay that way from stop to highway speed.
About about 15 minutes of driving in second gear it all the sudden shifted to 3rd and i checked all the gears and eveything is back now.
Could this be a checkball stuck? or something else.
Below is a previous issue and im waiting on my rebuilt valvebody to come in the mail.

Jimmy i was contemplating the limp mode possibly , dont know if they are the same as the abuse mode kicking in. I do have everything in the tune turned off and adjusted in the abuse tables in the program. I will check my codes and history as thats a good starting point.

yeah there are a few tables that are labeled abuse mode vs. whatever..I dont know exactly what they do..if its my issue or something else to save wear on the transmission, but i believe they are in the trans tables close to the torque management stuff.I will give it a second look when i get home tonight.

Sounds like the solenoid stuck on.
This can also be triggered if the pcm sees a discrepancy due to a stall converter on a large hill or overpowering the converter and making the PCM see it as "slip"
If it is abuse mode related, turning the car off for 15 seconds to reset the pcm and turning it back on will clear it up. If the solenoid or wiring is damaged it might stay locked in 2nd.

Well so far no more issues with it getting stuck in gear. But then again i havent floored it since. My valvebody is coming in today so hopefully that will cure some if not all my shifting problems. Fluid still looks great too
I have abuse mode off and all tables adjusted where they shouldnt be a factor. I dont know what torque the trans was seeing since i wasnt scanning it at wot, but i know at 3/4 throttle at 5psi its hitting 580ft lbs so im thinking it wasnt seeing anything over 700 at most..and i have all the tables at like 900ft lbs.
