please help trans does nothing after motor swap

please help trans does nothing after motor swap so i swaped out my ls1 for a 6.0 engine, put everything back togather and engine runs fine as it should but car does not move. i parked it where its at before motor swap,
trans is full of fluid. gear shifter is working, torque converter is spining while car is runing. drive shaft is hooked up.
what do you guys think could be the problem?
if converter wasnt locked in all the way by some chance wouldnt it be leaking fluid or somthing???

yes it is a aftermarket converter, now that i think about it, it was a tight fit against the flex plate, is there any hope that i didnt break the pump? if i didnt get lucky how hard is it to change a pump? and about how much do they cost? this is a new trans and probbly only has around 3k on it....

The torque converter pads should have between 1/16 and 3/16 gap with the flex plate. If there is none, you can be pretty sure that converter was not installed all the way and likely broke the pump. We just had a similar thread:

A trans shop can often fix this $60 in parts and 1-1/2 hour of labor, assuming you R&R the trans. If you haven't rebuilt a trans before, I wouldn't recommend trying it now because you won't recognize if anything else is broken. Just my opinion.
