2-3 Shift Solenoid....
Im in the process of installing a new 2-3 shift solenoid, & I wanted to double check myself... If im not mistaken isnt the solenoid on the passanger side the 2-3 shift solenoid?
Yes you can do it. Just remove the pan and on the rear of the valve body the solenoids can be replaced by removing the clips with a pick. Be sure to lube up the new seals with some trans fluid.
yeah LS1Nova hit it right on the money.... I did mine on jack stands, it took about 30 min... Its very simple the most time consuming part is taking all the bolts out of the trans. pan... PINTA......
how can you tell if you have blown one of the shift solenoids? I am A4 and it seems when I kick down while in the 3rd or 4th (I assume it is kicking down to 2nd when I hit the gas to WOT), it seems to punch, then lag out some times
suggestions?

Usually if these solenoids are failing they will also set a dtc. A lot of times, the valve body is at fault for causing weird shifting problems. If sediment get in the valves, it can hang it up one time and the next time could be just fine.
