What could cause a no 1st gear condition in a 4l60e? If I put it in "D" it will start off in 3rd and shift to 4th fine and the converter locks up fine, if I put it in 2nd it will start in 2nd gear and I can manually shift to "D" and 3rd, 4th, lockup all work. If I manually put it in 1st it starts in 2nd just like putting it in 2nd manually. Fluid looks good, NO codes.

 

Mine did this, but it was a 2nd gear issue. Mine would shift from 1st and skip to 3rd and then OD. The converter would lock up fine to. If I manually put the car into 2nd, it would still skip to 3rd. My 2nd gear band was destroyed

 

swap out the solenoids

 

One of the accumlator ***** was mashed into the separator plate and wouldn't come out.
