4000lbs + 1000hp + 4L60e = 8.94@154mph and a new 5th gen record
This saturday we set the record for the fastest IRS 5th gen in the world with one of our Level 7 4L60e transmissions. We ran 8.943@154.5mph. The car weighs 4000lbs and makes 1000hp with a Warhawk LS block 427ci engine, Allpro 295 heads, Beck intake and a 380hp shot of nitrous. It is a full weight street car with full stock interior, a/c, factory radio and stock brakes up front with C5 brakes in the rear to clear the 15" rear wheels. This car is running the same Level 7 4L60e internals that many of you guys are running in your cars and trucks. This is a true testament to the abilities of our 4L60/70e transmissions. This transmission has over 70 full passes and many more partial test passes on it with only one minor problem. We were dyno tuning the car and made too many back to back nitrous pulls which overheated the trans and we had to replace the 3/4 clutches. We have seen zero hard part failures. Here is the video of the 8.94 pass.

Damn, that's awesome. Maybe I don't need the 4L80 anymore... Not sure what I'd go with for a planned 850ish RWHP f-body... that never sees the track because I hate waiting in line for anything, and is also used for long, long road trips. Like 15+ hours with only stops for gas, food, and lavatory.

Thanks sir.
LOL! No kidding. Hope to see your car come together soon. Better watch out or this 4000lbs pig is gonna steal your record
Thanks Mike. You gonna make it down to Bowling Green again this year?

Thanks again everyone. Our Level 7 transmissions are $3,995.00 with a stock bellhousing and $4,495.00 with an SFI blow proof bellhousing.
DrkPhx, Unfortunately the 6L80/90e transmissions are 100% dependant on propper tuning for performance and power holding capacity. We have no way to control how the trans shifts once it is in the car, so we choose not to build them. There are many solid 9 second 6L80/90e transmissions out there but they have a very short service life.
