Default Tranny cooler question.

Im going to be getting an aftermarket stall converter for my next mod, and i want to do the cooler before. now i was looking at the B&M one everyone uses, and planned on running it with the stock cooler also. a friend of mine gave my a small cooler, maybe 8" by 10", with its own fan, and AN fittings a new lines. it was off a race car, i dont know much about it, but it seems smaller than the b&m unit. I like it becasue it has four ports, so i can screw in the sending unit for my newly aquired trans temp gauge, and i dont think you can do that on the B&M cooler that everyone runs? Is it not going to be beneficial running this small cooler? Should I just opt for the B&M supercooler kit? figured id see if this one is any good before i buy the B&M one. ill post a pic shortly.

Here's a pic, it's actually pretty small.

Is the not sufficient?

Also if I was to use the b&m 70264, how would I hook up the sender for the trans temp gauge.

Get an Aeroforce Interceptor and you don't need an external sensor

The price on it may seem high but it's like 50 gauges in 1. Maryland Speed is a sponsor, check it out on their website.

Well I already have a gauge that i spent a good amount on, plus I have a scan gauge. So I'm guessing it I just buy a t type splitter I
Can install the sender in that.

Mount your temp sender into the transmission pan. Get a bung welded in and just use that. That reading will be pretty accurate. You don't want to put the temp sender in the fluid lines.

The 70264 will probably be ok. For reference, I drove my car for a while today and kept an eye on my Interceptor for temps with my 3500 and Hayden 30k cooler.

Driving to work, cool outside, maybe like 60-65* out, it got up to 147* unlocked uphill
Driving home, 85* outside, it started at 91* and climbed up obviously, by the time I was cruising locked on the highway it stayed constant at 150*, unlocked going uphill behind slow people it reached 167*, it went down from there to 161* before I stopped at a light and it climbed to 168*, it went back down to 167* once I started moving and stayed there for the next 4 miles til I got home and it showed 168* when I turned off the car.
