Which 3500 stall or over verter on the market is the most streetable? I was thinking about the Yank SS3600 to go with my 228/230 cam? Whatcha think?

 

ive heard TCI SSF 3500 and Vig 3200

 

I have the Yank SY3500. Very streetable. However, it will damn sure throw you into the back seat if your not careful.

This one has a low STR so it does not bang through the gears. I believe it is around 1.7
Very pleased with mine.

 

vig or TCI is awesome. i got a deal on my vig so went that route. either will throw yo *** in the a$$ in the seat, and be very streetable.

It all depends on your goals, how fast you looking to go. Are you gonna buy some stickey tires any suspension mods. I would do atleast a 3800 stall should compliment that cam very well. Most converters are streetable just depends if you can get used to some of the loose feeling. I drive mine everyday with my TCI 3800 and I love it wish i had it sooner.

 

As far as I am concerned TCI and Precision Industries are the 2 best converter producers out there for our cars and both have GREAT customer support.
I would go with the TCI SSF3500 or the PI Vig3200. Both converters are great for street and track use. If you want more stall than 3500 then go with the TCI3800.

I do plan on getting some LCA's for traction. Not sure which tires to get yet though seeing as how I would drive mine just about everyday.

This is one of those what do you like best threads. If you were a salesman it would be what ever product you sold. I along with many even though it does not have the name behind such as yank, precision, vig, or tci believe midwest makes a awesome convertor, and for the price you can't beat it. These convertors are in many 9 and 10 second cars. Just ask Mike Brown who runs a twin turbo ce running 9's with one of these convertors in his car for two years. I say this is the way to go.
