I don't know how much room you have in these cars, but if you can reach them okay, try popping those dowel pins out from the back of the trans. They go right back in the engine faily easy with some antiseize and some hammer lovin.

So I ended up using an air chisel to separate the transmission from the engine.. and guess what? The fn dowel pins are still stuck in the transmission! They pulled out of the engine.
This thing was stuck, beyond stuck.

Sounds like "Galvanic corrosion" between the steel dowels and the aluminum case, aided by a wet environment: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galvanic_corrosion
You still need to get the dowels out of the bell housing; hopefully they pound out now.
Then sand them smooth and clean out the bell housing holes. They should fit into the bell housing with little resistance, but probably no more than .001 looseness. Finally, pound them back into the engine.
If needed, the dealer has new ones. My dealer had trouble with the part numbers. I ordered both #1453658 and #12569598; I think #1453658 is the right one, about $4.39 list.
What are you doing now that the trans is out?

Yea, I was hoping the whole time that I was just missing something and it was another *facepalm* moment, but it was actually completely stuck lmao. And yea I was thinking about just having transmission to engine dowel pins instead lol.
