Questions on a pro yank 3,600.
I order a pro Yank 3600 and never bother to ask about others experience with this converter, still will like to know from some one who is familiar with the Pro-Yank, and their experience in competition.
Thanks in advance....

I ran that Yank converter for 4 years. Mine was tight and great on the street and also cut low 1.5 sixty foot times in a Silverado with a 402 stroker. I only changed because Dave at Yank told me the 10.5" converter was hurting my 1/4 mile times (it is for 600-1200 hp motors). With only 450 rwhp, he recommended I switch to the SS-3600 which is a 9.5" converter. I haven't been able to test it yet. It is very loose compared to the Pro I had.

I hear you should drive the new converter for about 150 easy miles, will try to do that, one thing is sure, will race it Sunday.
Still like to hear about others familiar with the pro Yank, thanks.

Got the converter installed and went back to the track, the pro Yank drives crisp on the street just like Dave said, i knew before i got to the track it was a great improvement, feels tight like stock but when you hit go at the line is 5k rpms take off, on the highway say @ 65mph may go to 6k and engage & hang on.
Still the shift extension is a bit too wide on the 2-3 gear shift so may send it back to adjust the extension to 6.2 maybe? Improved from a best of 10.687 to 10.474 and MPH from 130.04 to 133.53
Still the et and mph are off due to poor traction, i should be hitting 1.39 on the short time and the best so far is 1.540.
Will get new robber for next track event, as they say, working the bugs out.
In the mean time the 11.5 /26" /16" MT ET street are up for sale, as i need a softer compound robber for what I'm doing, is clear i can't get any better short time out of them.

Update...
Called Faron at Hoosier who prescribed a full racing slick, 28 x 10 x 16 -co7 compound as best for the job, I'm real excited about sense i didn't know there was a racing tire i could use in a 16" ream and 10" thread width.
Hopefully will make the April 7 street car track rental day at Palm Beach.

Thanks man. We were just trying to dial it in last year. This year Dad is going to bracket race it. I think that if he runs the full season without breaking he could take the points because he's good on the line and the car is consistent, as you noticed. Jen is awesome. You'd never know this is the first truly fast car she's driven and that video was made on her 3rd day of racing. She's a ***** to the wall kinda girl.

Well, she tries She had me by .07 the last day out and it was the only track day she had a better time. (She's 70 lbs lighter) But then I buttoned the car up and made one more pass thinking it would slow down. My 11.22 put me ahead of her 11.31's.
She will get me plenty this year I think as she learns quickly.
