So Im swapping out my 4L60e for a built unit and finally got the Torx Plus 50ip bit from my Snap-on guy after i break the first bit.

I order 8 new Bell-housing bolts from the local dealership after looking up the old part number

Old Part #
GM/AC Delco part number 24203265
M10x1.5x45 10 OD Torx Plus HD

Superseded by a new part number now

Part #24246172

So I order 8 from my local dealership. I get home and open the first bag and they have this head on them...



What is this one now? Its midnight and im tired and pissed.
$70 in bolts and a wasted evening.

Its the newer style GM "mortorq" bolt. Here is my thread on it with the special bits you need:

A local trans shop should be able to get you the older style bolts.

Sucks I just spend $36 from Snap-on two days ago for the damn TORX + bit to take the old bits off. New bolts are the new ones. My dealership says they cant even order the old bolts anymore.

Snap-on 2 day aired my "mortorq" bit to me now. will be here friday.
