Default Rebuild my 4l60e or go 4l80e?

My stock 4l60e on my 02 WS6 is slowly shitting itself out... When it finally gives, should I...

1. Have it rebuilt into a performance 4l60e
2. Buy a performance 4l60e (FLT, something like that)
3. Swap it for a 4l80e

I don't plan on ever going above 450 hp, and I don't know squat about transmissions. Looking for some help!

im sure they can build you one to handle that much HP but if you want to do it once and forget it then go with a 4L80.

with the prices that some of these 4L60s cost nowadays it aint worth it, 4L80 and you never need to touch the trans again.

just my .02

That's kind of how I'm leaning. It's my daily driver in the summer, so I just never want to mess with it again

yea. you can build a 4L80 fairly cheap to hold that amount of power.
