Default Thinking about 3.42's or 3.73's

What difference did everyone see from a 3.23 to a 3.42 or 3.73. What do you think i should do? Will a stock rear end hold up at the track with 3.73 and a vig3200?

really depends on how hard you hook icon...id say go with the 3.73's if you have the option but thats me...with the converter you not gonna tell much but trying to get those rpms up near your peak hp rpm can help with mph at the top end of the track.

You will only gain about 1/10 to 1 1/2 tenths in the 1/4 mile from a 373 gear change. Mph may or maynot change after gear install , Then you have a big traction problem , 342s are not worth going to from 323s .

With your mods right now I dont see a problem for a while down the road IMHO especially with only drag radials in the rear

3.23-3.73s with a 3800 stall = ~.05

Just in another note , My shift extension is right around 4900 to 5000rpm , and that with a tci 3800 stall. I will post up this weekend with some track results , going out friday , Im hoping my rear can take it , if not its AAA time and a long ride home in a wrecker.
