Default performance switch

has anyone tried to wire a performance switch like the trans ams have for the trans. I have a 98 ls1 auto camaro and would like to have the switch at the track.

No trans am but mine has the performance or "tow haul switch" wired up.
I use mine for roll racing.

Interesting. What pin on the PCM needs to be hooked up?

The Power/Tow Haul switch select alternate tables for the transmission in the pcm, these tables include (for most calibrations) alternate:

Shift points (RPM & Speed, part & full throttle)
Shift pressures.
TCC lockup & release.
Torque Management
Desired Time for shifts.

yup im doing this as well. you can easily find a wire in your harness that has no use and move that pin and wire and use it. that way you dont need worry about buying pins and crimping them. unless you are bone stock there has to be 20 useless wires floating around haha..
