Convertor suggestons
I'm putting a 4L80E in my next build and was looking for some input on a Convertor.
I'm thinking in the area of a 4000 Stall would work pretty good..probably one of the 9.5" Convertors.
Build is in my 1984 SS, weight is about 3800 with driver. 432ci LSX, Ported L92's, Vic Jr, 12.4:1 Comp, healthy Cam, currently 4.33 Gears with a 28" Tire.
I know the smaller the Stall the less it will lose uptop..just trying to get something together that is rowdy, shifts will be at 7k RPM. Peak Torque estimated at 5000RPM, Peak HP at 6500..N/A, all Motor no Spray

Get one of those triple billet gold plated doo-hickies.
Seriously, that combo needs a professional opinion. But for all motor there is no way in hell I'd be buying any less then a 4k.

It was with the 408 and the T56 that came out..should do pretty good setup with the 432 & 4L80E after I tune it.

I know I don't have as much power as your combo is gonna make. I'm running a new 4L85E with an FTI 9.5" Billet triple disc 3800 nitrous spec converter. So far I am pleased with it, seems to really be an efficient converter and drive nice on the street. Its a little tight for an all motor pass, and I have just be started spraying two weekends ago with it.
I plan to play with it as is and get a 9.9x pass on my 150 shot. This spring I might send it back and get it loosened up a little because I plan on running on motor more than the nitrous. My converter has a 2.15 STR rating, so its not an all out motor pass conv, but like I said it sure drives nice!

We have a great choice for an all motor setup like yours, our new E stator option. And something in the 4000-4500 range sounds like it will work well. Can you send your full mods over in an Ask Chris and I can help spec you for you.
