Default Delayed engaugement 1995 4L80E transplant

My 4L80E That i have just rebuilt all new seals Lined & steel plates & Teflon coated pump gears W correct clearance . Sonnex reverse boost limit valve New wide second band with update piston and pin. New over run roller clutch new screens in valve body All valves free in valve body . Previous failure Due to slow loss of fluid till serious slipping /overheat occured Veh had a delay on engaugement in drive & reverse till RPM was slightly increased( After incident but not before) old lined plates were almost bare . Wile driving @ 500 mi after above condition occured Veh suddenly stopped pulling and RPMS increased as speed dropped . After reinstallation and fluid installed But not road tested ( due to haveing to place on ground and that is a big deal outside on stones 6 ton veh if i have to remove oil pan ) The problem is that it feels like the delay on engaugement is still there I do not have access to a scan tool i can make up a pressure gauge if necc to test press . According to Trblshooting chart seems possible force motor is a problem . My Question is what is the next step . Press test Electrical test or drop pan ? Frank

I would put a pressure gauge on it and record all pressures, idle in park, in reverse, in drive and report back.

Well installed gauge Warmed up eng/trans recheck fluid (very hard to read stick when adding fluid as its 1/2 way up stick for a long time, Van filler pipe) added 2 more qts . Pressures recorded, Park @ Idle (700 RPM) 40Lb PSI, @ 1500RPM 150 LB PSI , Reverse @ Idle (600 RPM) 60 LB PSI, @ 1000RPM 260 LB PSI , Drive @ Idle (600 RPM) 45 LB PSI, @ 1000 RPM 160 LB PSI , Neutral @ Idle (700 RPM) 40 LB PSI, @ 1500 RPM 150 LB PSI. Seems ok to me ?? What is your opinion ?? Could not detect hesitaion during pressure test, Will Road test Tomorrow & recheck fluid level 12 qts installed so far Frank
