im doing a turbo 5.3 forged rods and pistions 317s with a pt76mm billet and i am wondering what is the easiset trans to swap into a f body and what i need to do it thanks

 

Sorry, but no one has answered you because there are literally hundreds of theads on swapping a TH400 or a 4L80E, and dozens comparing the TH400 to the 4L80E. The Search has a drop-down menu; select Advanced. Type in "th400 4l80E" and select just the Transmission forum.

 

I can tell you a th400 is a piece of cake if you do your research. IMO I would go th400 because more than likely you will not need the 4th gear of the 4l80 because you will probably run a taller gear with the turbo setup.
