Default Will a 95 V6 Camaro 4L60E fit a 96 V6 Blazer?

Quick question. A buddy of mine has a 96 4.3 V6 Blazer with a bad 4L60E. We found a good 4L60E from a 95 3.8 V6 Camaro. Is this a direct swap...or is something different - also are the torque converters different?

I'm assuming not, since the 3.8L has a different bellhousing bolt pattern, correct?

The '95 4L60E is "unique" in that only a '95 PCM will properly work with it. So while it will physically be identical to the '96, the valve body is different.
Therefore, IMHO, the short answer is NO, unless you want to mod it.

the 3.8 bell housing is different. the 4.3 uses a small block pattern. I have put a 95 caprice lt1 4l60 in a 95 2wd s10..that worked
