Default 1999 2wd silverado trans compatibility

So my g/f truck is a 1999 2wd Silvo with a 5.3 in it. Has 188,xxx miles on it so the trans is slowly trying to shell out. Being a 2wd truck, will any fbody trans work or the computers different? It be nice to find a used trans on here thats built up some vs a bone yard find. Possible?

All '96 thru '06 4L60E are electrically compatible.
More importantly, all '98 through '06 4L60E/4L65E for V8 engine (300mm input shaft and bolt hole in 12 O'Clock position) are completely interchangeable. An '03 - '06 4L65E would be your best bet, but just make sure it came from a V8 2WD vehicle.

Yes. The torque converter has to be a '98 or later for LS engines.
