Default Is factory cooler lines sufficient

Hey guys I'm swapping a lvl 3 th400 into a fbody and was curious if the factory lines will flow enough fluid to keep it cool, or should I go with braided -6 lines. Thanks

Get the -06 AN lines.
More trouble trying to get the stock lines to work.

I figured it would be easy, 6an female to barb for the straight fitting in the tranny, cut a bit of the hard line and put some rubber line on it. Would save about a hundred dollars if it's ok to do that?

I know this is an old thread, but is there any reason it died without the OP getting an answer to the final question? I assume cutting the stock line where the OP suggested only leaves the connection at the trans as a possible point of failure in the factory setup. Is this a weak point?
Thanks

OEM 5/16" Lines are NOT.

OEM 3/8" Lines are.

What if you use a really big transmission cooler?

3/8" would still be fine.

The Only application that I have needed 1/2" Lines is for a Lenco that gets the Clutch removed...
A huge Pump installed for a Lock-Up Torque-Converter.
(For something like 5,000 to 10,000 HP).
