Question 2.73 Gears.. What STR/Stall should I shoot for?

Well I have finally completed my exhaust to what I was after now I guess I need a TC.

Like the title says, what stall and STR should I go for with the mods I have and 2.73 gears? Yah the 2.73s suck for racing but there great for the interstate.

Thanks!

With 2.73's, the higher the STR the better, in most cases.

I ran an 11.55 last year on 2.73's with the tci ssf3500 on the hose. its a good budget minded converter i love mine. and i think the higher the STR the better with the tall gears IMHO

I have a Vig3200 with 2.73s. It's looser than stock, but not bad at all.
And I went from 12.86 to 12.14 with this converter.

I'm running a MW3600/2.2 on 2.73's and love the combo. Even if I decide to go with a 3.42 or 3.73 with my current STR it should still be a great combo. Hopefully when I get the gears, I should be cutting 1.6's all day long.

I was told by kevin winstead at TCI that the TCi 3800 is more like a 2.6stator , I would have to believe that that converter would feel alittle loose with 273 but it is a great converter if you can get used to it.

i got a tci sf and like it alot and i have 273 also but will be going to 373 as soon as possible. dont get me wrong it lights the hids with 313 35 17 dr out back but i would like to have the low end out the hole instead of the top end pull. which 373 will stil have top end pull just not the max top end as 273 but i dont need to do 200 lol
