Thinking 4L80e swap, need advice. Been awhile since I have posted on here. My 4L60e has finally taken vacation. I have priced performance versions & rebuilding it. But I am more partial to upgrading the trans fully for more reliability & peace of mind. I have been researching thru the site for a few days now on what I need to buy etc. I can get a late model 4L80e core for around $75.00 with all components.
What I am looking for in advice is this. What rebuild kit for internals is recommended? Shift kit? I keep running into various threads on here that have one thing verse another. I just want to get my facts straight before investing money. I could get a new one, but prefer the learning hands on method myself. My Hawk is going to be laid up for 8 months or less. I am having my heads rebuilt thru AI after the year, not expecting to make huge power, just want a solid trans that will handle 450+.

Yolk(s)
Wiring harness
Trans mount
Cooler
