Call FLT and talk to chuck. He will not try to over sale you, and will be honest on which unit would best fit your needs. A friend of mine has had their level 4 60E in his car that makes 525rwhp for 8 years without a lick of trouble.

I agree, Chuck is a great guy and wont sell you something you don't need. My FLT Lvl5 trans is still going strong after almost 7 years. I sold it two years ago but still talk to the guy who bought it. It wasn't a big HP truck but it did weigh in at around 4600lbs and I drove it like I stole it. That trans with the Yank 3200 billet stall was awesome.
I'm considering another FLT trans for my 07 Tahoe.

Thanks guys I see that Chuck @ FLT seems to be the go too guy on the 4L60's. I will have to give him a call.

FLT is the way to go.

I was about ready to pull the trigger on a Level 4 (as that's all I needed per Chuck), but this Level 6 came available in the classifieds and was sent to Chuck for a refresh. He warrantied it like a new trans and it was just a couple hundred more than the new Level 4. Otherwise, that's what I'd have in my car right now. It's a good trans.

Also FLT has a lifetime rebuild flat rate fee. I think it's $450 but I'm not certain. My Level 7 hasn't skipped a beat yet!

I have the FLT Lvl6 and it hasn't blinked at 540rwhp...about to bump that up to 700-800rwhp. Anybody put that much to a Lvl 6?? Will it hold?

Default Trans Update

Well I actually decided to go with the FLT level 6. However I added a couple uf upgrades. I added everything minus the 300MM input shaft. I also added the upgraded 1-2 gear set. Everything seems to be good so far Ive only put about 150 mikes on it as to date. And by the way the guys @ FLT are top notch as well.
